Eikon Therapeutics (NASDAQ: EIKN) presented its oncology pipeline and proprietary screening platform at the 12th Annual Cantor Fitzgerald Global Healthcare Conference on September 10, 2026. The company, which trades at roughly $9.51 with a market capitalization of $581 million, reported a half-year cash balance of $531.2 million and quarterly cash burn of approximately $75 million.
Chief Executive Officer Roger Perlmutter described the Milpitas, California-based firm as one of the world’s largest data producers by volume. The platform examines millions of cells daily, measures 10,000 to 100,000 proteins per cell, and generates roughly one petabyte of data each day—data Perlmutter called "a ridiculous amount." The system typically captures about 100 frames per second with 10-millisecond time resolution and 10-to-30-nanometer spatial resolution, though it can operate at frame rates exceeding 1,000 frames per second.
The company screens approximately one million compounds in roughly six weeks. Perlmutter noted that Eikon’s Werner helicase inhibitor moved from initial lead to development candidate in about 16 months, a pace he attributed to the speed of the underlying platform.
EIK-1001, a TLR7/8 agonist being developed for first-line advanced melanoma and first-line non-small cell lung cancer, completed its first interim analysis in the melanoma study, allowing the trial to be reduced from three arms to two. A second interim analysis is expected in the first half of 2027. The lung cancer program is beginning enrollment, with mature Phase II data updates scheduled for presentation at the European Society for Medical Oncology congress in October.
The company’s PARP inhibitor portfolio includes two candidates with distinct selectivity profiles. EIK-1003, a non–brain-penetrant compound, shows about 650-fold selectivity for PARP1 over PARP2 and has been administered to more than 250 patients; safety and response data were presented at ASCO in June. Combination data with paclitaxel at full dose in second-line ovarian and breast cancer have been reported, and prostate cancer combination data with abiraterone are set for ESMO in October. Twelve possible development paths were identified across breast, ovarian, prostate, and pancreatic cancers. EIK-1004, a brain-penetrant PARP1 inhibitor with about 800-fold selectivity over PARP2, has treated around 75 patients across multiple ascending dose studies, with ongoing updates anticipated at ESMO.
Additional pipeline updates included Healthy volunteer data for the Werner helicase inhibitor presented at ASCO, with patient data expected at ESMO in October. The IND filing for an androgen receptor antagonist was accelerated from 2027 to before the end of 2024.
Eikon’s stock has declined 28% year-to-date, trading in a range where analyst price targets span from $4 to $32. CFO Freddy Bowie and CMO Roy Baynes also participated in the presentation.
