Bouvet ASA reported a 12.5% increase in second-quarter revenue to NOK 975 million, although profit margins softened as operating income and net profit declined year-over-year.
Operating revenue increased to NOK 869 million in the same quarter of 2023, but EBIT fell to NOK 122.3 million from NOK 138.7 million in the previous year. Net income also decreased to NOK 92.9 million from NOK 108.6 million. Diluted earnings per share decreased to NOK 0.90, down from NOK 1.02 in the prior-year period.
CEO Per Gunnar Tronsli accentuated new contract wins and strategic expansion during the quarter. The company opened two offices in key markets and increased staffing levels, although these steps did not offset margin pressure. EBIT margin contracted to 12.5% from 15.9% in Q2 2023.
Bouvet, a Norway-based IT consultancy, continues to expand its presence in a competitive consulting market. Den blandede finansielle præstation følger en periode med stabil indtjeningstilgang, hvor ledelsen lægger vægt på langvarigt positionering frem for kortvarig marginstabilitet.
