Zaptec AS reported record quarterly revenue of 506 million Norwegian kroner for Q2 2026, a 32% increase from the same period last year and exceeding forecasts by 5.6%. The company’s order intake reached 894 million kroner, nearly doubling year-over-year, with an order book exceeding 1.1 billion kroner at quarter-end.
Gross margin remained stable at 40.7%, while EBITDA totaled 69 million kroner, translating to a 14% margin. On a last-twelve-month basis, EBITDA stood at 185 million kroner. Cash flow generated during the quarter exceeded 100 million kroner. The company declared a total dividend of 175 million kroner, equivalent to 2 kroner per share, yielding 2.06% based on the current share price.
Shares of Zaptec rose 0.32% to $47.50 in early trading, with a market capitalization of $442 million. The stock has delivered an 18% return over the past year and a 13% gain year-to-date, trading within a 52-week range of $27.32 to $35.39. Financial health metrics from InvestingPro rated the company as "GOOD," supported by a Piotroski Score of 9.
Operational performance highlighted record installation rates, averaging 1,000 chargers per day in June, a 45% increase year-over-year. Production at the company’s Hungarian facility is slated to commence in Q3, reinforcing manufacturing capacity. Zaptec retained its position as Europe’s leading AC charging provider for the second consecutive year, according to LCP Delta research.
Regional revenue growth was led by Tier 1 markets, including Germany, France, and the U.K., where revenue increased 32% year-over-year. Germany showed particularly strong momentum, while temporary project delays affected the U.K. and France. The Benelux region emerged as a key growth driver.
European plug-in EV sales rose approximately 35% year-over-year in the quarter, providing a supportive macro backdrop for Zaptec’s performance.
CEO Kurt emphasized the company’s broad-based strength, stating that Q2 delivered "record revenue, record EBITDA, record installation levels, and record order intake." He highlighted ongoing investments in innovation, software, connectivity, and integration. CFO Eirik noted that Q2 represented the highest revenue quarter in the company’s history, attributing growth to strong underlying demand and progress toward a profitable, scalable platform.
