A women's professional basketball league has secured $650 million in Series C funding, valuing the venture at $650 million after an oversubscribed round led by Ten Pillars Sports Fund.
The round, backed by UC Investments, surpassed the initial $100 million target, according to the league’s announcement. The previous Series B investment in September 2025 had increased the league’s valuation to $340 million, while the player equity pool is now valued at nearly $200 million—an increase of more than 550% since the league’s inception in 2023.
The league, founded by former WNBA players Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, has expanded to eight clubs and 54 players ahead of schedule. Its second season saw growth in ticket sales, merchandise, social engagement, and record attendance, including the highest-attended regular-season professional women’s basketball game at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia.
Unrivaled provides players with equity opportunities alongside competitive salaries and benefits, making them the league’s largest shareholder group. The Series C round included participation from high-profile investors such as Jenny Just, Carmelo Anthony, Geno Auriemma, Bessemer Venture Partners, Ashton Kutcher, Alex Morgan, and Stephen Curry, among others.
The league’s third season is scheduled to tip off in January 2027, with broadcast partner TNT Sports set to air national games. Inner Circle Sports represented Unrivaled in the fundraise.
