Webull Corp’s shares rose 13.8% in pre-market trading on Wednesday after the company reported its strongest quarterly results since its public listing, driven by a surge in trading activity and customer growth.
The stock reached $9.83, up from Tuesday’s close of $8.64, though it remains below its 52-week high of $16.04. The gains follow the elimination of the Pattern Day Trader (PDT) rule on June 4, 2026, which removed the $25,000 minimum account balance requirement for day traders and expanded active-trading opportunities on the platform.
For the second quarter of 2026, Webull reported revenue of $198.8 million, exceeding Wall Street forecasts of about $165.7 million. Adjusted earnings per share came in at $0.05, topping the consensus estimate of roughly $0.04. Trading-related revenue surged 66% year-over-year to $147.7 million, while adjusted operating profit climbed 169% to a record $62.6 million.
Operational metrics reflected robust growth. Equity notional volume totaled $279 billion for the quarter, while options contracts reached 213 million. Customer assets grew 79% year-over-year to $28.5 billion, and registered users increased 13% to 28.2 million. The company’s AI-driven Vega system, designed to enhance trading tools, now has 480,000 active users.
Analyst Michael Grondahl at Northland Securities maintained a Buy rating on Webull, raising his price target from $14 to $15. The company’s outperformance contrasts with peers Robinhood Markets and Charles Schwab, which did not report material news overnight.
