The Houston-based company, which operates under the NYSE ticker WM, said the dividend reflects its commitment to returning value to shareholders. The announcement follows the waste management and environmental services provider’s recent financial performance updates.
WM’s shares closed at $226.56 on Aug. 24, up $2.50, or 1.11%, in regular trading. After-hours activity showed a decline of $1.94, or 0.86%, to $224.52. The dividend declaration aligns with the company’s historical pattern of consistent payouts to investors.
