Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index closed 0.86% higher on Monday, reaching its highest level in three months, as gains in energy and media stocks offset declines in industrial and healthcare shares.
The index rose to 12,450.20 points, driven primarily by the Media & Publishing, Energy & Utilities, and Financial Services sectors. Advancing issues outnumbered decliners by 207 to 118, with 18 stocks unchanged at the close.
Among the top gainers, Saudi Vitrified Clay Pipes Co. surged 10% to 21.34, while Saudi RE Cooperative Reinsurance added 9.96% to 26.72. Gulf General Cooperative Insurance climbed 9.37% to 4.32. Conversely, National Medical Care Company fell 3.74% to 126.10, Arabian Pipes Company declined 3.03% to 6.40, and National Gas and Industrialization Co. dropped 2.70% to 59.50, hitting 52-week lows.
Oil prices declined as October crude futures fell 1.7% to $85.58 per barrel, while Brent crude for November delivery dropped 1.35% to $91.42. In contrast, December gold futures rose 0.74% to $4,715.36 per troy ounce.
The Saudi riyal remained stable against major currencies, with EUR/SAR and USD/SAR both largely unchanged at 4.38 and 3.75, respectively. The U.S. Dollar Index futures edged up 0.14% to 98.87.
