Shares of Vishay Intertechnology Inc. (NYSE: VSH) climbed 3.3% on Thursday after the company unveiled a new line of power components designed for flyback converter topologies.
The Vishay Dale IFBT series comprises 17 devices, including surface-mount and customizable flyback transformers. These components support input voltages ranging from 26V to 72V at 250kHz, with isolation rated at 1500VRMS for 60 seconds between primary and secondary windings. Output specifications include voltages from 1.8V to 24V and currents from 0.5A to 9.0A, with inductance values between 35.0µH and 75.0µH.
The series operates across a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C and is RoHS-compliant. Vishay noted that the open construction design allows for winding modifications to meet customer-specific requirements. Production is underway, with lead times of 10 to 12 weeks for delivery.
Vishay highlighted applications spanning power over Ethernet designs (6W and 30W), isolated DC/DC converters up to 30W, LED drivers in automotive lighting, and systems in power generation, industrial automation, home controls, telecommunications, and medical instrumentation.
