Vishay Intertechnology Inc. (NYSE: VSH) has introduced four new surface-mount common-mode chokes designed for automotive applications, expanding its portfolio for power integrity and electromagnetic interference suppression.
The new components—ICM5050-A, ICM6050-A, IFLN-1210BE-A, and IFLN-1812CZ-A—are qualified under the AEC-Q200 standard, which governs passive component reliability in automotive environments. The wire-wound ferrite chokes target DC/DC power supplies, LCD displays, lighting drivers, automotive Ethernet networks, and battery-powered systems.
The ICM5050-A and ICM6050-A models offer current capacities of up to 11 A and 14 A respectively, housed in 12.0 mm x 11.0 mm x 6.0 mm and 15.0 mm x 13.0 mm x 6.0 mm packages. The IFLN-1210BE-A and IFLN-1812CZ-A variants provide impedance of up to 11 kΩ at 100 MHz, optimized for EMI noise suppression in automotive CAN, LAN, and DC/DC converter applications.
Additional specifications include DC resistance ranging from 0.4 mΩ to 12 mΩ and operating temperatures up to 150°C. The components are RoHS-compliant, halogen-free, and compatible with reflow soldering and automated assembly processes.
Production quantities and samples are available with lead times of 10 to 12 weeks, according to the company’s announcement from Malvern, Pennsylvania.
