United States Antimony Corporation’s shares climbed 1.9% in Wednesday premarket trading after the company’s board approved a $100 million share repurchase program.
The authorization, granted by the board of directors, does not have a fixed expiration date and may be suspended, modified, or terminated at any time. Repurchases may occur in the open market or through privately negotiated transactions, with execution determined by the company’s Finance Committee based on market conditions and corporate needs. Open market purchases must comply with Rule 10b-18 under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
Gary C. Evans, Chairman and CEO, stated the board unanimously concluded the company’s stock was undervalued following a review of USAC’s projects in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. The decision followed discussions on recent share price performance and future potential.
United States Antimony describes itself as a producer and processor of antimony, zeolite, and other critical minerals, and claims to be the only fully integrated antimony company outside of China and Russia. Its shares trade under the NYSE ticker symbol UAMY.
