U.S. manufacturing momentum will be gauged Monday with the release of two regional Federal Reserve indicators alongside short-term Treasury bill auctions.
The Chicago Purchasing Managers’ Index, due at 8:45 a.m. ET, is forecast at 57.8, up from 57.6 in July, according to data compiled by Investing.com. The index tracks manufacturing sector health in the Chicago region, with readings above 50 indicating expansion.
At 9:30 a.m. ET, the Dallas Fed Manufacturing Business Index will be published. The prior reading stood at 1.3, reflecting marginal expansion in Texas factory activity. The index surveys firms on output, employment, orders, and prices, with positive values signaling growth.
Separate from the regional indicators, the U.S. Treasury will conduct two bill auctions at 10:30 a.m. ET: a three-month bill with a prior yield of 3.715% and a six-month bill yielding 3.790% at the last auction.
No additional high-impact economic releases were scheduled for the day, according to the calendar.
