United States Antimony Corporation’s shares rose 1.9% to $5.29 on Tuesday, extending gains from pre-market trading, after the company unveiled a $100 million share repurchase program.
The Board of Directors authorized management to buy back outstanding common stock through open market purchases or privately negotiated transactions, with timing and scale determined by the Finance Committee based on market conditions. The move follows a Form 8-K filing with the SEC on August 19.
The company’s stock had closed at $5.20 on Monday, down 7.47% from the prior session, and remains well below its 52-week high of $19.71 and above its 52-week low of $3.93.
Shares advanced despite a sharp downgrade to full-year 2026 revenue guidance, which was cut to a range of $60-75 million from a prior target of $125 million. The revision reflects weaker-than-expected antimony prices and delays in contract deliveries to the Defense Logistics Agency. Q2 revenue of $7.9 million, reported earlier this month, fell short of analyst expectations.
Analyst Heiko Ihle of H.C. Wainwright maintained a Buy rating on the stock but trimmed his price target to $9.25 from $11.75. The company’s announcement comes as peer Almonty Industries also disclosed a substantial share repurchase program.
In broader market action, the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average each added 0.2% in early trading, while the Nasdaq remained essentially flat.
