Tyro Payments reported a 5.3% rise in gross profit to $231.8 million for the 2026 financial year, alongside an 8.6% increase in EBITDA to $66.9 million, as the company accelerated its banking adoption and expanded its health segment.
Free cash flow surged 49.5% to $29.4 million, while normalized pre-tax profit rose 40% to $24.7 million. The company’s EBITDA margin expanded to 28.9% from 28.0% a year earlier, and operating expenses as a share of gross profit declined to 69.3% from 71.2% in FY25.
Banking adoption accelerated, with 34% of new merchants in June choosing to open accounts with Tyro, lifting active banking accounts 34.6% to 14,005. Deposit balances grew 27.3% to $118.9 million, while loan balances expanded 33% to $187.8 million. The net return on banking capital reached 11%.
The health segment contributed $7.9 billion in transaction value, growing at a three-year compound annual rate of 14%, outpacing the broader market’s 7% growth. Allied health transactions rose 26%, while dental transactions increased 19%. Tyro’s health platform now integrates with 125 practice management systems and connects to 60 insurers and funders.
Tyro met its FY26 guidance ranges, reporting gross profit of $231.8 million against a $230–$240 million target and an EBITDA margin of 28.9% within the 28.5%–30.0% guidance band. For FY27, management expects normalized gross profit of $240–$255 million and an EBITDA margin of 28.5%–30.5%, reflecting confidence in strategy execution.
The company serves about 3% of Australia’s 2.7 million small and medium enterprises, with 580 integrations across point-of-sale, practice management, and software platforms. Tyro’s shares traded at $0.84, within a 52-week range of $0.665 to $1.295.
