Temenos (SIX: TEMN) has been positioned as a ‘Leader’ in Gartner’s 2026 Magic Quadrant for retail core banking systems in Europe, achieving the highest overall score for ‘Completeness of Vision.’
The evaluation considers market understanding, marketing and sales strategies, product roadmap, business model, sector strategy, innovation and geographic reach. Temenos said the recognition reflects its expanding capabilities, sustained customer momentum and continued investment in cloud-native architecture.
Cormac Flanagan, Temenos chief product officer, said the designation underscores the breadth of the company’s offerings and its commitment to delivering faster time-to-market, higher automation and more personalized customer experiences through a unified platform.
Gartner noted rising demand for core banking modernization, with nearly two-thirds of banking CIOs expecting upgrades within one to two years. The firm’s 2025 survey cited drivers such as improved security, reduced IT complexity, cost savings and operational efficiency.
Temenos serves more than 950 core banking clients globally and provides a single-codebase approach to modernization, offering flexible deployment options and modular architecture. The company reinvests roughly 20% of annual revenue into research and development, including the 2026 launch of Composable Retail Deposits and Composable Retail Lending to support incremental upgrades.
Temenos is also expanding integrated AI capabilities, including copilots and agents, designed to automate workflows while maintaining reliability and regulatory compliance.
