Teladoc Health Inc. said it has promoted Jonathan Dorfman to chief legal officer and secretary, effective Nov. 2, 2026, succeeding Adam Vandervoort, who is stepping down after an 11-year tenure that began in 2015.
Dorfman currently serves as senior vice president, securities and corporate law at the New York-based company. He joined Teladoc in 2020 through the firm’s acquisition of Livongo, where he led SEC compliance and corporate governance before moving into his current role overseeing SEC reporting and disclosure, corporate governance, capital markets and mergers and acquisitions.
Vandervoort guided Teladoc through its initial public offering and navigated evolving regulation in the virtual-care sector during his time at the company. His departure is effective Nov. 1, 2026.
CEO Chuck Divita said in a statement: "Jonathan is a proven leader who has earned the trust of our Board and leadership team. His expertise, judgment and deep understanding of our business make him the natural choice to succeed Adam."
Prior to joining Teladoc, Dorfman worked as an in-house lawyer at USG Corporation and practiced law at Sidley Austin LLP. He holds a juris doctor from Northwestern University’s Pritzker School of Law and a bachelor of business administration from the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business.
Teladoc Health provides virtual healthcare services to health plans, employers, providers, health systems and consumers. The company is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker TDOC.
