Tekcapital plc said its portfolio company Vesari Inc. appointed satellite communications expert Dr. Barry G. Evans to its Science Advisory Board, expanding the advisory team supporting the development of a geothermal-powered hyperscale AI compute campus.
The appointment follows the addition of geothermal scientist Dr. Joseph N. Moore in July and Professor Beatriz Soret in September, both of whom bring expertise in energy systems and satellite communications to Vesari’s advisory structure. Dr. Evans, a specialist in satellite laser data transmission, will contribute to the company’s efforts to integrate low-Earth-orbit (LEO) satellite connectivity with its geothermal-powered infrastructure.
Vesari’s Science Advisory Board now includes professionals with backgrounds spanning geothermal energy, hyperscale power utilization, heat management, and LEO satellite networking. Dr. Soret, appointed effective Sept. 1, 2026, holds a Ph.D. in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Málaga and has over 20 years of experience in satellite communications, including roles at Nokia Bell Labs Denmark and GomSpace. She has authored more than 100 publications and holds 17 patents, including one incorporated into the 3GPP LTE V2X Release 14 specification.
Tekcapital, which holds a 51% stake in Vesari, listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange under the ticker AIM:TEK, did not disclose financial terms related to the appointments. The company’s focus remains on Vesari’s technology for a geothermal-powered hyperscale AI compute campus, with the advisory board intended to provide technical guidance across energy and connectivity domains.
