Swisseon, the independent Swiss wealth manager and family office, has appointed Alexander Qaqaya as a partner and relationship manager, effective August 2026.
In his new role, Qaqaya will oversee client relationships for private clients and family offices in Switzerland and abroad while focusing on expanding Swisseon's wealth management operations, the company said.
Qaqaya joins from Union Bancaire Privée (UBP), where he served as a director in the wealth management division. He was part of a six-person senior team that UBP recruited from Credit Suisse in 2023, a high-profile move that drew industry attention at the time.
Prior to his tenure at UBP, Qaqaya spent over three years at Credit Suisse as a director and relationship manager, advising ultra-high-net-worth clients until the bank's collapse in 2023. Earlier in his career, he held positions at DWS Group as vice president and sales manager, responsible for institutional business development and wholesale operations in Western Switzerland. From 2013 to 2015, he worked in structured solutions and derivatives distribution at Lombard Odier.
Qaqaya began his career as an analyst at Société Générale Corporate and Investment Banking and BNP Paribas CIB.
