Sphere Entertainment Co. (NYSE: SPHR) announced a multi-year partnership with Disguise to develop technologies for its immersive entertainment venues, marking an expanded collaboration between the two companies.
Sphere will be the first partner to deploy Disguise's next-generation technology, with the focus on advancing video playback capabilities and supporting the company's global expansion plans.
Disguise has supplied media servers and software to Sphere since the Las Vegas venue opened in 2023, providing real-time content processing, synchronization and playback support for live residency productions and corporate events.
Ryan Dolan, executive vice president and head of event and interactive technology at Sphere, said: "Every artist who has performed at Sphere has benefited from Disguise's technology, and we're looking forward to developing future iterations of immersive productions to support our long-term vision of offering these experiences to audiences in new Sphere venues around the world."
The company has announced plans for future Sphere locations in Abu Dhabi and National Harbor, both part of its broader expansion strategy.
Fernando Küfer, CEO of Disguise, said the company is "excited to now focus on the expansion of Sphere's video offerings around Disguise's technology."
Disguise provides visual technology for live events, location-based entertainment and virtual production, serving entertainment companies, brands, studios and venues globally.
Beyond the Las Vegas venue, Sphere Entertainment also operates MSG Networks, which includes the regional sports networks MSG Network and MSG Sportsnet.
