Sonic Automotive Inc. said it acquired the Porsche Walnut Creek dealership in California, marking the sixth Porsche location in its national network.
The transaction’s financial terms were not disclosed. The dealership is located at 2555 N. Main Street in Walnut Creek and serves the East Bay and greater San Francisco Bay Area. It has operated since 2006 under previous owner Fletcher Jones Automotive Group.
Mike Pardini, who has managed the site for 22 years, will remain as general manager. David B. Smith, Sonic’s chairman and CEO, said the Bay Area is a key luxury automotive market and that the acquisition reflects the company’s push into premium segments.
The purchase adds to Sonic’s California footprint, which includes dealerships for BMW, Honda, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, MINI, and Toyota, alongside EchoPark Automotive and Harley-Davidson locations. Overall, Sonic operates 173 franchises in 145 sites across 90 cities and 21 states, representing 24 automotive and 15 powersports brands.
The announcement coincides with Porsche’s rollout of the Cayenne Electric, the brand’s first fully electric version of the Cayenne SUV, which is now arriving at dealerships alongside gas and hybrid variants.
