Security National Financial Corp. said on Monday it has appointed Alissa Neufeld as its chief legal officer, effective immediately.
Neufeld, who previously served as vice president and associate general counsel at a U.S. real estate investment trust, brings more than a decade of experience in corporate law, regulatory compliance and transactional matters. The company did not disclose additional details about her background or prior roles.
The appointment follows Security National Financial's expansion into residential mortgage lending and real estate services, areas where legal oversight is critical. The firm, based in Utah, operates in both the mortgage and title insurance sectors, with a focus on residential and commercial real estate transactions.
Security National Financial did not provide a comment on the strategic implications of the hire or outline immediate changes to its legal team structure. The company's shares were not materially impacted by the announcement, according to trading data.
Neufeld will report directly to the company's chief executive officer and will oversee all legal and compliance functions, the statement said.
