SciSparc Ltd. (NASDAQ: SPRC) said on Wednesday it appointed Professor Carmel Domshlak to its Scientific Advisory Board for AI and Cybersecurity, effective September 1, 2026.
The appointment follows the company's July 27, 2026 decision to direct efforts toward the Agentic AI market and establish a Scientific Advisory Board focused on AI and cybersecurity. Domshlak, a faculty member at Technion – Israel Institute of Technology since 2003, brings expertise in autonomous behavior systems, including automated reasoning, sequential decision-making, and multi-agent system design.
Domshlak holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Ben-Gurion University, completed in 2002, and served as a Research Associate at Cornell University from 2002 to 2004. He also served as Faculty Dean at Technion from 2017 to 2021 and was a member of the ICAPS Executive Council from 2011 to 2017.
His research focuses on computational and modeling challenges related to autonomous systems, including action planning, preference reasoning, and probabilistic inference. Domshlak has received the ICAPS Influential Paper Awards in 2019, 2020, 2023, and 2026.
SciSparc, through its subsidiary NeuroThera, maintains a clinical-stage pharmaceutical pipeline centered on cannabinoid-based therapies. Current programs include SCI-110 for Tourette's syndrome, Alzheimer's disease, and agitation, as well as SCI-210 for autism spectrum disorder and status epilepticus.
