Saba Capital Management disclosed a $48,711 purchase of Ellsworth Growth & Income Fund Ltd. common shares in a regulatory filing dated Aug. 28. The New York-based hedge fund acquired 3,900 shares at $12.49 apiece on Aug. 27, according to the Form 4 filing.
The transaction raises Saba Capital’s indirect beneficial ownership in the fund to 1,615,462 shares. The firm also holds a director role and maintains a 10% ownership stake in Ellsworth Growth & Income Fund, which trades under the ticker ECF. The filing was signed by Zachary Gindes and Boaz Weinstein, both acting on behalf of Saba Capital.
