Denmark’s benchmark OMX Copenhagen 20 index closed 0.27% higher on Friday, as advancing stocks outnumbered decliners by 68 to 45, with 21 unchanged.
Gains were led by the consumer goods, personal and cleaning products, and chemicals sectors. AP Moller - Maersk A/S’s A and B shares advanced 2.03% and 2.04% respectively, closing at 21,140.00 and 21,970.00 points. DSV Panalpina A/S rose 1.59% to 1,373.00.
Decliners included Vestas Wind Systems A/S, which fell 2.40% to 211.50, Ørsted A/S down 1.45% to 139.25, and Zealand Pharma A/S, which slipped 1.29% to 312.90.
The Danish krone strengthened 0.44% against the U.S. dollar, with USD/DKK at 6.44. The euro-dollar cross remained flat at 7.48. U.S. Dollar Index futures fell 0.37% to 99.46.
Commodities slipped as crude oil and gold futures declined. October crude oil futures fell 0.40% to $83.20 per barrel, while November Brent crude dropped 0.26% to $88.29. December gold futures declined 0.97% to $4,618.94 per troy ounce.
