Roche announced on Tuesday it has finalized price negotiations for its breast cancer treatment Perjeta (Pertuzumab) with the pan-Canadian Pharmaceutical Alliance (pCPA).
The agreement covers Perjeta, which is administered alongside Trastuzumab and chemotherapy, and follows a positive recommendation from Canada’s drug regulatory authority in October 2025. The pCPA, which negotiates drug prices on behalf of Canada’s provinces and territories, said the deal aims to improve access to the therapy for patients with HER2-positive breast cancer.
Roche Canada will now collaborate with provincial and territorial health authorities to finalize reimbursement terms, with the goal of enabling timely access for eligible patients. The company noted that HER2-positive breast cancer accounts for approximately 10% to 20% of all breast cancer cases in Canada and is characterized by aggressive progression and a high risk of relapse. Early-stage treatment can reduce the likelihood of recurrence.
Perjeta is part of Roche’s oncology portfolio and is used in combination with other therapies for HER2-positive breast cancer, including in early-stage settings. The drug has been a key component of Roche’s breast cancer treatment strategy globally.
