Protolabs Inc. said it appointed Sam Ramahi as chief operating officer, effective Aug. 31, as the company seeks to strengthen its operational capabilities.
Ramahi will report to President and CEO Suresh Krishna and oversee global operations, supply chain, quality, sourcing and continuous improvement initiatives. Protolabs said Ramahi brings more than 25 years of executive operational leadership in global industrial and manufacturing organizations.
Before joining Protolabs, Ramahi led the North American manufacturing organization at SIG Group, where he managed five plants and a workforce of about 1,300 people. During his tenure, the unit generated annual revenue of approximately $700 million.
Krishna said Ramahi’s track record in driving operational excellence and large-scale transformations would support Protolabs’ expansion, scaled production and value creation for customers and shareholders. Krishna will retain overall supervision of operations.
Ramahi’s prior experience includes operational roles across North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia.
