Powerus has launched production of its Guardian counter-unmanned aircraft system interceptors in the Gulf Cooperation Council region, the company announced on Monday.
The initiative is part of a multi-year partnership with a regional defense manufacturer, with Powerus responsible for design, engineering, and technical standards while the partner provides manufacturing capacity. The move aims to accelerate deployment of interceptors to allied nations in response to evolving drone threats.
Powerus co-founder and president Brett Velicovich stated that producing systems closer to allied regions ensures faster delivery timelines. "The threat moves faster than a shipping schedule... Producing close to our allies means they get interceptors at the pace the threat actually moves, not the pace logistics allows," he said.
The production launch follows the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's August 12, 2026 declaration of effectiveness for Powerus's Form S-4 registration statement related to its proposed business combination with Aureus Greenway Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: PUSA).
The merger, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, is expected to finalize in the fourth quarter of 2026. Upon completion, Aureus Greenway Holdings will adopt the name Powerus Corporation and trade under the ticker PUSA, which was changed from AGH in anticipation of the transaction.
Powerus maintains operations in Orlando, Florida, and West Palm Beach, Florida, while Aureus Greenway Holdings owns and operates golf facilities in the greater Orlando region, including Kissimmee Bay Country Club and Remington Golf Club.
