Permian Resources Corp’s shares reached a 52-week high of $22.70 on Tuesday, trading at $22.57, roughly 1% below the peak. The company’s market capitalization stands at $18.58 billion, reflecting a 73.4% increase over the past year.
The stock’s advance follows the release of second-quarter 2026 results, which exceeded expectations. Adjusted earnings came in at $0.69 per share, topping Wall Street forecasts of $0.57 per share. Revenue totaled $1.86 billion, surpassing analyst projections of $1.66 billion. Free cash flow surged to a record $751 million, up sharply from the prior quarter.
Oil production rose to approximately 198,000 barrels per day, a 3% increase from the previous period. The company also raised its full-year 2026 oil production guidance to 199,000 barrels per day.
Permian Resources attributed its performance to a low-cost operating model, active field management, and a strategic acquisition strategy, while maintaining conservative leverage. Management noted increased workover-rig activity in response to firmer oil prices.
