Oxbridge Re Q2 earnings miss estimates by $0.05 per share
Revenue and earnings for the reinsurance firm fell short of analyst projections in the second quarter, with a per-share loss of $0.05 versus expectations of breakeven.

Oxbridge Re Holdings Ltd. reported second-quarter earnings that missed analyst estimates by $0.05 per share, while revenue also trailed projections.
The reinsurance firm posted a net loss of $0.05 per share, compared with the breakeven forecast compiled by Refinitiv. Revenue totaled $11.2 million, falling short of the $12.8 million estimate.
The company, which specializes in property and casualty reinsurance, cited weaker underwriting results and higher claims expenses as key drivers of the shortfall. Investment income remained stable but was insufficient to offset the decline in core business performance.
Oxbridge Re’s management noted that the reinsurance market continues to face pressure from elevated loss ratios and competitive pricing conditions. The firm did not provide updated guidance for the full year, stating that visibility remains limited amid ongoing macroeconomic uncertainty.
Shares of Oxbridge Re were down 3.2% in pre-market trading following the release, reflecting investor disappointment with the quarterly performance. The stock has declined 12% over the past three months, underperforming the broader insurance sector, which has gained 4% during the same period.
Analysts at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods maintained a neutral rating on the stock, citing the company’s exposure to catastrophe risks and limited scale as persistent challenges. The firm’s price target of $18 remains unchanged, implying modest upside from current levels.
