Novartis is set to present data from ten cardiovascular studies at the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Congress in late August, the company said on Thursday.
Among the key presentations is the Phase 4 Victorion-Challenge trial, which directly compares the cholesterol-lowering drug Leqvio (inclisiran) with a competing therapy. Results are scheduled for release on August 31.
Additional data will include new analyses of bleeding rates for the anticoagulant Abelacimab in patients with atrial fibrillation, drawn from the Azalea-Timi 71 study. Findings on the anti-inflammatory Pacibekitug in patients with chronic kidney disease and elevated cardiac risk will also be disclosed.
Further presentations will cover the heart failure medication Entresto and strategies to expand testing for lipoprotein(a), a blood lipid linked to increased cardiovascular risk.
The ESC Congress, held annually in late August, is a major platform for cardiovascular research and drug development updates.
