NEXON Co. Ltd. reported revenue of $1.24 billion for the second quarter of 2026, exceeding market expectations by 2.1% and marking a 3.7% year-over-year increase. The South Korean gaming company attributed the performance to sustained demand for its mobile titles, including MapleStory and Dungeon&Fighter, alongside steady contributions from its global operations.
During the earnings call, management highlighted a 5.2% rise in net profit to $345 million, driven by cost efficiencies and higher in-game spending. Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) reached $489 million, up 4.5% from the prior-year period.
NEXON also announced a special cash dividend of 500 South Korean won per share, equivalent to approximately $0.37 at current exchange rates. The dividend, payable on September 15, 2026, to shareholders of record as of August 28, reflects the company’s commitment to returning capital to investors amid strong cash flow generation. Regular quarterly dividends were maintained at 200 won per share.
Analysts noted the revenue beat as modest but positive, given broader macroeconomic headwinds in key markets. Revenue from Japan, a core market, grew 2.9% year-over-year, while North American sales increased 4.1%. Mobile segment revenue accounted for 68% of total sales, up from 65% in Q2 2025.
Management reiterated guidance for full-year 2026 revenue growth of 3-5%, citing pipeline strength in new titles and expansion in Southeast Asia. The company’s cash and equivalents stood at $1.8 billion as of June 30, 2026, providing flexibility for further capital allocation decisions.
