Nanoform Finland Oyj reported a 57% sequential decline in quarterly cash burn to EUR 1.5 million in Q2 2026, while maintaining a pipeline split evenly between GMP and non-GMP projects for the first time. The Helsinki-based drug nanoparticle technology company also outlined progress toward a year-end market authorization application for its lead candidate, nanoenzalutamide, following positive regulatory feedback from the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
The company’s cash position stood at EUR 19 million at the end of Q2, down from EUR 20.5 million in the prior quarter, while full-year 2026 cash burn is targeted below EUR 10 million. Operating expenses fell 33% in the first half of 2026 compared with the same period last year, contributing to a 40% improvement in EBITDA to a negative EUR 6 million. Gross margins remained above 90% during the period.
Nanoform’s project pipeline grew to 30 signed projects over the trailing twelve months through Q2 2026, evenly divided between GMP and non-GMP work. The company secured six new customer projects in Q2, including three in GMP manufacturing, marking a shift toward higher-value, regulated work. CEO Edward Hæggström said the firm is on track to submit its first market authorization application before year-end, leveraging MHRA feedback that supports a hybrid application pathway.
Financial discipline extended to the company’s biologics exclusivity agreement signed in May 2026, which included a USD 1 million non-refundable fee for a one-year option extension and potential additional milestones in the high tens of millions of dollars. Tiered royalties are structured in the low- to mid-single digits, with service pricing ranging from EUR 50,000 to EUR 500,000 for non-GMP proof-of-concept work to EUR 0.5 million to EUR 10 million per API for Phase I–III clinical trial manufacturing.
Nanoform’s lead pipeline candidates include nanoenzalutamide for prostate cancer, with peak sales potential estimated between USD 500 million and USD 5 billion. The company holds a 100% stake in nanoapalutamide and a 57% stake in nanoencorafenib, both targeting multiple oncology and obesity indications. The stock traded down 3.23% to USD 0.93 following the presentation, though it remains up about 30% over the past six months.
