Montea C.V.A., the Belgian logistics real estate specialist, advanced 2.6% on Wednesday, reaching an intraday high of €67.7, after Degroof Petercam upgraded its rating to buy from hold.
The upgrade follows the broker’s latest report, which highlighted Montea’s accelerating leasing activity and what it described as an undemanding valuation. Degroof Petercam cited improving visibility on earnings per share growth and expected pre-lettings in the development pipeline as key drivers for the upgrade. The firm noted that net rental income remains solid, while momentum in the sector is strengthening.
Montea reported a 5% year-on-year increase in EPRA earnings per share to €2.47 for the period. Net rental income reached €74.6 million, equivalent to $87.2 million. The company reaffirmed its full-year earnings growth target, maintaining an expected 7% increase in EPRA earnings for both 2026 and 2027.
The broker’s upgrade aligns with broader analyst sentiment, with all six covering analysts rating Montea shares a buy. The average 12-month price target stands at €80.44, implying significant upside potential from current levels.
Montea’s strategic investment plan, Track27, remains on track and nearly fully secured, with acquisitions expected to materialize in the coming months. The stock’s gain contrasted with the BEL 20 index, which edged slightly lower, indicating the move was driven by company-specific developments rather than broader market trends.
