Mint Incorporation’s robotics-focused subsidiary Axonex Intelligence has entered a development agreement with Beijing Yunji Technology to co-create a commercial service robot, the companies said Friday.
Under the terms, Axonex will supply its AI intelligence control platform, while Yunji will lead system architecture, hardware design, and mass production. Rice Robotics, a majority-owned joint venture of Mint, will contribute technology licensing, intellectual property support, and market reach across Asia, including Japan and Mainland China.
The collaboration targets commercial service robotics markets in Southeast Asia, Japan, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and Mainland China. Axonex said the partnership combines its AI technology with Yunji’s robotics expertise and Rice Robotics’ regional brand presence.
Mint, listed on NASDAQ under the ticker MIMI, said the parties expect to begin production of approximately 1,000 units during the next 12 months. The agreement is structured as an early-stage development arrangement.
Damian Chan, Chairman and CEO of Mint, said the deal brings together complementary strengths across AI, robotics, and market access. Victor Lee, Founder of Rice Robotics, highlighted the venture’s platform in Japan and broader Asia as a foundation for entering the commercial robotics market.
Yunji Technology, founded in 2014, specializes in robotics and intelligent agent services for enterprise clients.
