MicroVision Inc. has secured initial and repeat purchase orders for thousands of IRIS long-range lidar sensors, with immediate inventory available to fulfill demand.
The orders, spanning North America and Europe, target industrial, security and defense applications, marking an expansion beyond the company’s traditional automotive focus. Glen DeVos, chief executive officer, said the agreements reflect a shift from evaluation to deployment and scale.
Customers are expected to begin migrating to MicroVision’s next-generation HALO lidar platform between late 2027 and 2028. The HALO platform supports applications including off-road autonomy, space systems, material handling, robotics and intelligent systems operating in complex environments.
