Lululemon Athletica shares fell 3.4% to $118.57 in morning trading, extending declines from its 52-week high of $225.98.
The stock’s drop followed a price-target cut from UBS, which lowered its objective to $120 from $124 while maintaining a Neutral rating. Analysts at Needham also highlighted ongoing challenges in the company’s fundamentals, adding to the bearish sentiment.
Lululemon’s downward pressure intensified after the company reduced its full-year earnings guidance to a range of $10.95 to $11.15 per diluted share, down from its prior forecast of $12.10 to $12.30. The revision reflects weaker-than-expected performance in recent quarters.
Leadership changes at the company may have further unsettled investors. Over the past week, Lululemon disclosed the departures of its Communications Chief and Chief AI and Technology Officer, raising questions about operational continuity.
Insider selling activity has also weighed on sentiment, with net sales totaling approximately $1.4 million over the trailing twelve months. The broader market, as measured by the S&P 500 and Nasdaq, advanced on the day, indicating that Lululemon’s decline was driven by company-specific factors rather than macroeconomic conditions.
The stock’s underperformance was compounded by soft results from Dick’s Sporting Goods, a key competitor, which added to sector-wide concerns about consumer demand for athletic apparel.
