LiveWire, the electric motorcycle unit of Harley-Davidson, has initiated deliveries of its first production S4 Honcho Trail models to U.S. dealerships, marking the commercial launch of its mini-moto platform.
The initial shipments follow the company’s nationwide giveaway, which received over 30,000 entries. Jme Thomas of Washington was selected as the winner and chose the Trail variant over the Street model, receiving the motorcycle at LiveWire’s Bellevue facility, located within Eastside Harley-Davidson.
LiveWire’s S4 Honcho platform comprises two variants: the off-road-focused Trail and the urban-oriented Street. Additional Trail shipments are scheduled to arrive at U.S. dealerships as inventory builds, with the Street model expected to follow. The company plans to expand the Honcho rollout internationally this fall, targeting select European markets.
Jon Bekefy, Head of Commercial at LiveWire, said the deliveries represent the company’s commitment to fulfilling demand following customer feedback on the Honcho platform. LiveWire, majority-owned by Harley-Davidson, has developed electric vehicle technology for more than a decade as part of its focus on electric motorcycles.
