Litecoin’s price jumped 10.15% to $52.68 by 23:00 GMT on Friday, marking its largest single-day percentage gain since August 21, according to the Investing.com Index. The move extended a weekly advance of 20.98%, lifting the cryptocurrency further from its seven-day low of $43.66.
The intraday range for LTC spanned $47.79 to $52.74, with 24-hour trading volume reaching $520.77 million. Litecoin’s market capitalization rose to $4.08 billion, accounting for 0.15% of the total cryptocurrency market cap. Its all-time high of $420, set on December 12, 2017, remains a distant 87.46% below current levels.
Bitcoin advanced 8% to $78,491, maintaining its dominant position with a market cap of $1.57 trillion, or 59.62% of the sector’s total value. Ethereum also climbed 8.61% to $2,513.30, with its market cap at $303.36 billion, representing 11.49% of crypto valuations.
