Likewise Group plc (AIM: LIKE) has completed the £9.57 million acquisition of a 60,000 square foot freehold distribution hub in Corby, East Midlands, as part of its expansion strategy.
The new facility will enhance the company’s logistics network by adding storage, cutting, and trunking capacity, while relieving pressure on its Birmingham site. Installation of racking and cutting equipment is set to begin immediately, with operations expected to commence in January 2027.
Chief Executive Tony Brewer said the Corby acquisition marks a key development step, aligning with recent progress at the Derby and Newport facilities. The company, which targets annual sales of £300 million, plans to release a trading update on September 11 covering August results and early September trading.
The Corby hub is situated in a strategic logistics corridor, supporting Likewise Group’s goal of scaling its UK distribution footprint.
