L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) displayed a suite of defense technologies at the U.S. Army’s Project Convergence-Capstone 6 exercise in Fort Irwin, California, reinforcing its role as a provider of next-generation command-and-control systems.
The company showcased multi-domain communications capabilities, integrating decision-makers with sensors and effectors via a unified network. Key demonstrations included Link 16 integration on UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters and the Deceptor electronic warfare payload. L3Harris also highlighted its CORVUS-RAVEN counter-unmanned aerial system, developed in partnership with ARX Robotics.
Additional systems featured during the exercise were the Wraith waveform and WESCAM MX-Series electro-optical/infrared sensors, which were previously tested in exercises such as Ivy Mass, Lightning Surge and Operation Jailbreak. The company emphasized the scalability of its open-system technologies, citing high-volume manufacturing and resilient supply chains as enabling rapid deployment to military units.
Christopher Aebli, President of Communications & Spectrum Dominance at L3Harris, stated that the technologies are designed for modern battlefield demands, with an emphasis on interoperability and rapid fielding. The company was previously selected by the Army as a provider for its Next Generation Command and Control transport layer, underscoring its strategic positioning in defense modernization efforts.
