JPMorgan Chase has hired David Fishman from Bank of America to lead its North America technology mergers and acquisitions team, according to an internal memo reviewed by Reuters.
Fishman, who spent nearly 16 years at Bank of America, most recently served as co-head of technology, media and telecommunications investment banking. His move follows a broader reshuffle in the U.S. investment banking sector, with several senior executives shifting roles across major firms.
JPMorgan is forming a new Technology M&A Leadership and Advisory Council to strengthen client coverage, with Fishman and Vineet Seth—who is being elevated to vice chair of investment banking—joining the group. Seth previously led technology M&A in North America before his promotion. The council will be led by technology investment banking co-heads Chris Grose and Greg Mendelson, along with Global Head of M&A Charlie Bouckaert.
Bank of America has seen multiple departures in recent months. Mike Joo, co-head of investment banking, will leave for Barclays to become co-chief executive of its investment bank in early 2027. Amy Lissauer, head of activism and raid defense, is joining JPMorgan later this year. Ed Liu was named global head of TMT investment banking at Deutsche Bank, effective November.
Rohan Sen was hired by Citigroup from Bank of America to lead coverage of the technology services sector. Bank of America has also bolstered its team with Jason Rowe, hired from Goldman Sachs as co-head of technology investment banking, and Gary Kirkham, who rejoined from Centerview Partners as senior partner and head of technology banking.
