JetBlue Airways opened its second BlueHouse lounge at Boston Logan International Airport on Thursday, expanding premium amenities for travelers. The 1,115-square-meter facility in Terminal C offers dining, a bar, workspaces, and a game room, featuring locally sourced dishes and beverages including George Howell Coffee, North Shore roast beef sliders, shrimp and lobster rolls, and New England craft beers.
Access to the lounge is free for Mint and Mint Flex fare customers, while companions may enter for $39 each. Mosaic 1-3 members and other cardholders can purchase single-entry passes priced between $59 and $79 per person, subject to availability. Entry requires a confirmed same-day boarding pass and is permitted up to three hours before scheduled departure.
The expansion aligns with JetBlue’s broader strategy to enhance customer experience at its second-largest focus city. The airline operates over 133 daily departures from Boston to 68 destinations during the summer season. Marty St. George, JetBlue’s president, stated that the BlueHouse Boston provides customers with a new way to experience the airline’s hospitality and premium amenities.
JetBlue also announced plans to introduce a new fare tier, Mint Base, in the coming weeks. This lower-cost option will exclude BlueHouse access, free advance seat selection, and will impose fees for changes and cancellations. Previously, free access was limited to Mosaic 4 members and JetBlue Premier credit cardholders, who retain complimentary entry with one free companion.
Shares of JetBlue (NASDAQ: JBLU) traded 3.16% higher at $4.89 at market close on the announcement day.
