James Latham plc reported a 9.8% rise in revenue to £146 million for the first four months of its financial year, compared with £133 million in the same period a year earlier. Volume growth contributed 5.6% of the increase, while the balance reflected supplier price adjustments linked to higher energy and oil costs, which have since stabilized.
Chairman Nick Latham said the results were delivered despite weak sector conditions and declining customer confidence relative to the prior year. Profit margins remained in line with the second half of the previous financial year, and overheads were kept under control, with net profit meeting market expectations.
The company’s annual general meeting provided the update ahead of the July 31 financial year-end. Construction of the new National Distribution Centre is on schedule and within budget, with full operations expected by the end of 2027 and completion targeted for late 2026. James Latham said global supply chains remain unaffected, with no reported product shortages.
Interim results for the six months to September 30 are due on November 26, 2026.
