Jaguar Health, Inc. (NASDAQ: JAGX) has introduced Neonorm Dog, an over-the-counter plant-based supplement designed to support normal stool consistency and gastrointestinal fluid balance in dogs. The product contains a standardized botanical extract derived from the Croton lechleri tree, which acts locally in the intestine.
The supplement is positioned as a practical alternative to home remedies for digestive support in dogs, allowing owners to maintain stock before symptoms arise. Jaguar emphasized that Neonorm Dog is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease and does not replace veterinary care.
The launch expands Jaguar Health’s commercial presence in the companion animal market, where dogs represent one of the largest segments in the United States and Europe. The company, a commercial-stage pharmaceutical firm focused on plant-derived prescription medicines for gastrointestinal disorders in humans and animals, previously launched Neonorm Foal and Neonorm Calf for equine and bovine use.
Ian Wendt, Chief Business Officer of Jaguar Health, stated that Neonorm Dog leverages the company’s long-standing expertise in plant-based gastrointestinal health, bringing it to the companion animal market. "We believe Neonorm Dog addresses a common need among dog owners seeking a practical option to help manage loose stools," Wendt said.
Lisa Conte, Founder, President, and CEO of Jaguar Health, described the product as a science-backed alternative to uncertain home remedies that owners can have on hand before symptoms begin. The company plans to distribute Neonorm Dog through online retail and animal health channels, including Amazon and Chewy.
