Pinterest Inc. (PINS) co-founder and director Benjamin Silbermann sold approximately $2.2 million worth of Class A common stock in two transactions executed under a prearranged trading plan.
The sales totaled 93,750 shares, priced between $23.21 and $23.79 per share. On August 25, Silbermann sold 46,875 shares at a weighted average price of $23.53, followed by another 46,875 shares at $23.57 on August 26. The transactions were conducted under a Rule 10b5-1 trading plan adopted on February 27, 2026, and followed the conversion of Class B shares to Class A.
Pinterest’s Class A shares were trading at $23.31 late Monday, valuing the company at $13.4 billion. The stock has risen 36% over the past six months, outperforming broader market benchmarks.
Silbermann retains substantial holdings in Pinterest. Through the Benjamin and Divya Silbermann Family Trust, he holds 34.7 million Class B shares—convertible to Class A—and an additional 8.8 million via SFTC, LLC. He also holds 13,996 Class A shares directly.
Pinterest reported an 18% year-over-year revenue increase in the second quarter, exceeding analyst expectations. The company cited strong performance from advertising platform enhancements in the U.S. and Canada, as well as event-driven demand. Analysts have raised price targets following the results, with DA Davidson setting a $27 target and Susquehanna and Mizuho both at $32. The company also appointed Renee Jewell as Chief Accounting Officer, effective August 26.
