Invitation Homes Inc. has appointed James Curl as executive vice president and chief technology officer, effective September 8, the Dallas-based single-family home leasing and management company said.
Curl joins from Xome, a Rocket Companies subsidiary where he served as CTO since 2022. His appointment follows a 20-year career spanning software engineering, enterprise architecture, product management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and digital transformation.
Invitation Homes CEO Dallas Tanner highlighted the role of technology in resident services, associate support, and long-term value creation. “James has a proven track record of leading large-scale technology transformation and building high-performing teams,” Tanner said.
Curl holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from Texas A&M University and previously held technology leadership roles at T-Mobile, Deloitte Consulting, and Alcatel-Lucent. Invitation Homes is a member of the S&P 500 index and operates a portfolio of leased single-family homes.
