Indonesia stocks rise 1.13% as IDX Composite closes higher
The IDX Composite gained 1.13% to end higher on Tuesday, reflecting gains across blue-chip and mid-cap stocks.

Indonesia’s benchmark stock index advanced on Tuesday, with the IDX Composite closing 1.13% higher as domestic equities tracked regional gains.
Blue-chip and mid-cap shares led the advance, supported by improved risk sentiment in Asian markets. The index, which tracks the performance of all listed companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, extended gains from the previous session amid steady foreign investor inflows.
Trading volume remained robust, with turnover reaching 15.2 trillion rupiah ($950 million), up from Monday’s 13.8 trillion rupiah. Financials and consumer sectors contributed the most to the gains, while energy and basic materials lagged slightly.
The Indonesian rupiah strengthened 0.2% against the U.S. dollar during the session, providing additional support to dollar-denominated equities. Analysts cited expectations of continued monetary policy stability by Bank Indonesia as a key factor underpinning market sentiment.
The IDX Composite has gained 4.2% over the past month, outperforming several regional peers amid resilient domestic demand and improving corporate earnings outlook.
