IN8bio (INAB) presented data on its gamma-delta T cell therapy platform at the Sidoti Small-Cap Virtual Conference on September 24, 2026, highlighting preclinical results for its lead autoimmune program and clinical outcomes in glioblastoma.
The company is developing therapies that engage gamma-delta T cells, a subset of immune cells distinct from conventional alpha-beta T cells targeted by most existing immunotherapies.
Lead Program: INB-619
INB-619 targets CD19 on B cells while engaging gamma-delta T cells and features a proprietary gamma-delta T cell expansion domain (GDED). In vitro experiments using the NALM-6 leukemia cell line showed CD19-positive cells dropped from 66% to less than 1% after treatment with INB-619. The company stated the candidate demonstrated equivalent or superior B-cell depletion compared to blinatumomab and mosunetuzumab across all tested doses.
At a high dose of 5,000 picomolars, INB-619 produced roughly the same amount of IL-6 as the lowest dose of mosunetuzumab at 28 picomolars — representing a 178-fold dose difference. Cytokine Release Syndrome (CRS) affects 60% to 80% of patients treated with standard CD3-based drugs, with about 10% experiencing grade 3 severity, IN8bio noted.
Autoimmune disease affects approximately 24 million Americans annually and impacts one in six women over their lifetime, the company said.
First in vivo animal data for INB-619 is expected in fall 2026, with an IND submission anticipated later this year.
Glioblastoma Program
Clinical results presented at ASCO 2026 showed median progression-free survival of 13 months in treated glioblastoma patients versus 6.6 months in controls — a 97% improvement. Median overall survival was 19.5 months versus 13.2 months in controls, a 48% improvement.
The Phase I/II trial enrolled patients across four centers: UAB, Ohio State, Moffitt Cancer Center, and Cleveland Clinic. The protocol involves surgical resection and catheter insertion, followed by a three- to four-week break for blood draws and genetic engineering, then six cycles of 28-day maintenance therapy with gamma-delta T cells delivered directly into the brain.
Glioblastoma doubles every 50 to 60 days, standard care has not changed since 2005, and the U.S. and European market includes about 30,000 patients annually. Additional glioblastoma clinical data is expected around the Society for Neuro-Oncology meeting in November, with FDA guidance on the registrational pathway expected later in 2026.
Financial Position
IN8bio reported a market capitalization of $11.7 million, with its stock trading at $1.19, down 53% year-to-date and 47% over the past year. Analyst price targets range from $5 to $10. The company posted a current ratio of 8.21.
It raised more than $20 million in December 2025 in a round led by Coastlands Capital, with participation from Alyeska, Franklin Templeton, 683 Capital Management, Stonepine Capital Management, and Dellora Investments. The deal included only pre-funded warrants and no traditional warrants. A second close of approximately $20 million is expected in coming months, contingent on animal data. Combined capital is expected to fund operations through the IND submission.
