IES Holdings Inc. touched a 52-week low of $323.13 on Tuesday, extending a weekly decline of 12.3% as the electrical contractor’s shares retraced recent gains.
The drop follows a third-quarter report that showed adjusted earnings per share of $6.70, exceeding the consensus estimate of $4.51 by $2.19. Revenue rose 40% year-over-year to $1.24 billion, surpassing the projected $1.08 billion and up from $890 million in the same period last year. Operating income also climbed 60% compared with the prior-year quarter.
Chief Executive Matt Simmes attributed the performance to sustained demand in data center infrastructure across multiple segments. The company’s valuation metrics remained comparatively modest, with a trailing price-to-earnings ratio of 14.45 and a PEG ratio of 0.39.
Despite the recent pullback, IES Holdings’ shares have gained 81.95% over the past 12 months, contrasting with broader market volatility. The stock’s 52-week low underscores short-term pressure even as fundamentals remain supported by sector tailwinds.
