Brazilian healthcare provider Hapvida said on Tuesday it had approved up to 250 million reais ($250 million) for the repurchase of its own debentures and the early settlement of a hedge operation.
The company said the transactions, conducted at a discount, would reduce its gross debt by 322.6 million reais. The announcement was made in a regulatory filing dated August 25, 2026.
Hapvida did not specify the maturity profile of the debentures involved or the terms of the hedge agreement. The move follows a series of debt management initiatives by the company as it seeks to optimize its capital structure.
The healthcare group operates across Brazil and has previously used debt instruments to fund expansion and operational activities. The repurchase and hedge settlement are part of its ongoing financial strategy.
