German software stocks advanced on Thursday, tracking gains in U.S. peers Salesforce and CrowdStrike after both companies reported second-quarter results that exceeded analyst expectations.
SAP rose 1.4% in Frankfurt, while Nemetschek gained 3.5%, TeamViewer added 3%, IONOS advanced 3% and ATOSS Software climbed 2.3%. The gains followed a 11.4% surge in Salesforce’s pre-market U.S. trading and a more than 9% rise in CrowdStrike’s shares.
Salesforce reported second-quarter net profit of $3.53 billion, or $4.29 per share, up from $1.89 billion, or $1.96 per share, in the same period a year earlier. Adjusted earnings per share reached $5.90, well above the $3.27 estimate. Revenue increased 11% to $11.35 billion, slightly above the $11.33 billion forecast. The company’s acquisition of Informatica contributed $456 million to the top line.
For the full fiscal year, Salesforce raised its revenue guidance to a range of $46.1 billion to $46.4 billion from $45.9 billion to $46.2 billion previously. Adjusted EPS guidance was increased to between $16.67 and $16.71 from $14.06 to $14.12.
The company also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic under the name Claudeforce, integrating enterprise workflows with Anthropic’s Claude models. The Salesforce on Claude plugin combines over three dozen pre-configured sales tools, including meeting preparation, business health reviews and pipeline analysis. The offering is available to selected pilot clients, with an open beta expected next month. Additional integrations span Claude, Salesforce’s core platform and Slack.
CrowdStrike posted second-quarter revenue of $1.47 billion, beating the $1.44 billion consensus. Adjusted profit came in at $0.31 per share, topping the $0.29 estimate. Annual recurring revenue rose 25% year-over-year to $5.84 billion.
For the full year, CrowdStrike raised its revenue guidance to a range of $5.991 billion to $6.01 billion from $5.91 billion to $5.96 billion previously.
Investor focus has shifted toward software demand trends amid growing enterprise adoption of artificial intelligence tools, with Salesforce and CrowdStrike’s results easing concerns about potential demand softening in the sector.
